Filler dissolving with Hyalase is a medical treatment used to safely break down and remove hyaluronic acid–based dermal filler.

What Is Hyalase?
Hyalase is a prescription-only enzyme (hyaluronidase) that breaks down hyaluronic acid, the substance used in most dermal fillers.
When injected into the treated area, Hyalase gradually dissolves the filler so it can be naturally absorbed by the body.
It does not dissolve non-hyaluronic fillers.
Why Might Filler Need to Be Dissolved?
Filler dissolving may be recommended if you are experiencing:
- Overfilled or unnatural results
- Filler migration
- Lumps, bumps, or uneven texture
- Asymmetry
- Puffiness (especially under the eyes or lips)
- Complications following filler treatment

Treatment Process
- The area is cleansed
- Hyalase is carefully injected into the targeted area
- The enzyme begins breaking down the filler
- Swelling may temporarily increase before settling
Improvement is often seen immediately, with continued changes over the next few days.
Treatment Course & Results
- Some cases require one session
- Others may require multiple sessions, depending on the amount and depth of filler
- Dissolving can be partial or complete, based on your goals
Results vary, and complete removal cannot always be guaranteed in one session.
Pre-Treatment Care
To ensure optimal results, please:
• Avoid anti-inflammatory medications unless prescribed
• Inform your practitioner of any allergies or previous reactions
• Arrive with clean skin
• Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding
Post-Treatment Care
First 24–48 hours
• Expect swelling and tenderness
• Avoid touching or massaging the area
• Avoid strenuous exercise
• Avoid heat (saunas, steam rooms)
• Avoid alcohol
Following days
• Swelling and bruising should gradually settle
• Final results are usually clearer after several days
